The Kumon Method of learning was developed in Japan in 1954 by Toru Kumon, a high school maths teacher, using Maths and English skills to develop the potential of children. Kumon is a supplementary learning programme for students of all ages and abilities. The Kumon method nurtures students to develop study skills and concentration, and to become more confident and independent.
Students are motivated by receiving an Achievement Certificate on successful completion of each level. There is also an Advanced Student Honour Roll for those students who progress to study beyond school grade level. Please visit the website, www.kumon.co.za, to find your nearest Study Centre.
